The Water Way Foundation is a non-profit legal person, which was founded in 2003 with the objective to carry out socially beneficial activity.
The Water Way Foundation is licensed by the Bulgarian State Agency for Child Protection (SACP) and the Bulgarian Agency for Social Support (ASS) to provide social services to children.
The Foundation’s main practice area is aquatic rehabilitation and modified swimming.
The Foundation’s target group consists of children with physical, mental and sensory disorders, such as: children’s cerebral palsy, poliomyelitis, brachial plexus birth injury, visual and auditory disorders, motor system disorders, aseptic osteonecrosis, Down’s syndrome, haemophilia, etc.
The age group of the children to whom the Foundation’s rehabilitation services are addressed is between 1 and 17 years.
The rehabilitation procedures are carried out in a therapeutic swimming pool meeting the requirements for hydrotherapy. The practice of modified swimming involves all children and avoids segregating them into different groups.
